The planet is flat and I can prove it

I can prove the planet is flat and not round. How you ask? Simple, I fell off.

The world is flat

I bet every one my reader is wondering what happened to me. Long story short, I found a way to cram 30 hours into a 24 hour day and decided to work them all for the last month. I have been busy with a massive system upgrade which unfortunately I can’t show or talk about, but it was freaking huge. This consumed my every waking moment, so much so that I had to stop writing for TechnologyEvangelist.com, stop doing my daily podcasts and now I have fans who are knocking on my door every single day asking when I’ll return. I’m a bit flattered that we have so many people who listen from all across the globe willing to take time out of their day to yell at me. All blogging, podcasting and social media stopped for a month. I have been disconnected.

NO LONGER! I’m at the point where I can hand the baton off to other engineers and work on other projects. Sure I’ll still be busy but now I’ll have enough time to actually have a life again. This is great because I’ve done this whole system upgrade thing one too many times now, and it’s always the same. Time for me to move on, I’m getting bored with this server stuff. New media here I come!

Speaking of new media, Ed Kohler of TheDeets.com has created a new social media site called walleye.mn and I suggest everyone in Minnesota check it out. I’m thinking of starting an Eden Prairie centric blog since there seem to be no hookable stories in the EP category. Hmmmmmm, that’s no good, no good at all. Since Bencredible.com is high on ego but low on readers, it would be handy if everyone could pass along the domain to a couple of people since the blog itself doesn’t have enough power to knock out Ed’s servers by a mere URL mention. Yet. I know I have family and friends reading this, so I challenge you to actually get some people actively engaged in walleye.mn. Of course I have a challenge for Ed too: make walleye.mn a bit more human friendly. Maybe I’ll just have to remember that Eden Prairie is actually category ID 18. It’s so obvious now. 18! I think we all know who Cat ID 17 is… Oh yeah!

More updates and details of when I start to podcast, additional projects I’m starting and how I’m about to re-start my social life coming soon. If you want updates on what I’m working on next for TechnologyEvangelist.com or any of my new media projects, this is the place to be. The behind-the-scenes action starts… NOW!

  1. Ed Kohler says:

Good call on the human friendly side of things. I’ve been working on an awesome .htaccess file that will do just that but it’s currently incomplete so it flips between category IDs, friendly story URLs, user profile IDs, etc.

I believe the only EP categorized site in the system right now is a city blog that’s infrequently updated. There must be something more than that going on in EP.

    Keep the suggestions coming.
