Not even a week after the whole The Deets fiasco, Unorganized Play has decided to spin off the ToT brand to CoT or Coffee of Today. This is yet another example of the amazing insight that Bencredible brings to other blogs. While coffee is a lesser drink, it’s still intriguing to see other blogs copy the amazing ToT format.

Had a meeting this morning with Ed in Minneapolis. Ed drank some rice tea which he didn’t finish, and I had the Earl Grey. Tasty stuff.
My parents got a new puppy last night. Winnie not has a play friend, and boy do they like to play. Enjoy the video.
The tea for today is my favorite tea lately, Earl Grey Creme brewed with a bit of Rock Cane sugar added (just a touch). It has a nice flavor with a good amount of kick to get me going in the morning. Being that it’s about 25 degrees outside today, a nice cup of hot Earl Grey Creme is just what I wanted. I’m almost like Picard, but I added the Creme part.
Don’t be fooled, this tea is not brewed in milk or creme nor do I add any to the mix. It’s just a lighter version of the traditional Earl Grey.
I would like to take a moment to compare and contrast the tea setup between TheDeets.com and Bencredible.com. TheDeets.com has been drinking and reviewing the same tea for the last few days, and there’s a reason for that: They only have three teas to review! For those wondering, that’s not a coffee maker, it’s a tea maker! Put the filtered water in the top, set the steep time for whatever you’re making, and the water will warm to the proper temp, drop to the container below with the tea, steep for the proper time and the release into the bottom container. Once it’s in the bottom container the tea is kept warm for 1 hour while it’s careful not to burn it. If you look carefully off to the right you can also see the cold tea press for making tea on ice not to mention the traditional teapot and strain in the middle of the counter.

We at Bencredible decided to be the “bigger men” on this whole TotD issue and allow TheDeets.com to use the name. Today Bencredible.com is officially announcing that we will be stopping the TotD series (Tea of the Day) and replacing it with ToT or Tea of Today.
Expect more breaking news on this new feature soon. We expect that ToT will forever change the landscape of online daily tea reviews.

My HDTV blew up. No big deal (well, OK, maybe a little bit of a deal) I just grabbed my old SDTV and hooked her back up. This served me well for a month or so, but now I have an Apple TV and I had to bring my SDTV to work for a shoot I was doing. So, do I buy the 1080p HDTV now, get the cheaper 720p HDTV that I can’t re-use at work at all, or just ignore it all and keep saving for that $2MM home I want?
Yesterdays tea was nice at first, but after a bit it started to taste like a strawberry energy drink. Had that same ‘I need lots of fiber’ feel to it, so I’m going to take it off my list of teas I like.
Today I’m trying a white tea by the name of Scarlet Cloud. I’m hit and miss with white teas, so we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully it will have enough oomph to pull me through the morning and if not I’ll have to revert to my Earl Grey default.
UPDATE: This tea tastes like donkey urine.
Yes, after months of inactivity and the default WordPress theme I have finally put the 5 minutes of effort into the blog to get it going. Ed from The Deets will be happy as bencredible is his #1 source of traffic.
